Meltdown and Spectre

You may have heard something recently about Meltdown or Spectre. By taking advantage of vulnerabilities in your installed programs, Meltdown and Spectre allow these programs to steal data processed on your computer. This includes:
  • Stored passwords
  • Personal photos
  • Emails
  • Instant messages
  • Documents
While this should not affect your website or hosting service, it can be concerning. If you would like to learn more about either of these bugs, check out this analogy from Cloudflare.

For FAQs, see the official Meltdown Attack page.
