WordPress: How to Embed Video

In this article, you will learn how to embed a video into your WordPress site. Embedding videos is very easy to do and you can embed videos on any of your posts or pages.

  1. First, you need to get the URL for the video that you would like to share. Copy the URL from your address bar and navigate back to your WordPress site.
  2. Go to the post or page where you wanted to share the video. You need to paste the code on its own line and make sure that it isn't hyperlinked (this means that the link can't be clickable). If your link shows up underlined, it is most likely hyperlinked. To unlink it, select the link and click the Remove Link button in your toolbar.
  3. Now, you can update your post or page and view it to see the embedded video.
